Bio
Robin Nussbaum, PhD is the Associate VP for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Learning at the Girls Scouts of Western Washington. Prior to that she was the Senior Inclusion & Equity Specialist at the Washington State Bar Association for over six years.
Dr. Nussbaum earned her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she focused on bias, stigma, and discrimination, as well as ,influence and persuasion. A long-time social justice advocate, she was a youth leader with the Seattle Young People’s Project, has staffed the LGBT center at several universities, served on the Leadership Team for the Non-Profit Anti-Racism Coalition (NPARC) in Seattle, and most recently was the VP for Diversity & Inclusion for the Puget Sound Association of Legal Administrators (PSALA).
She has performed hundreds of trainings and consultations on diversity, inclusion, and equity. Robin has also served as a professor at several universities, including her alma mater, Vassar College. Robin brings over two dozen years of social justice/equity advocacy, training/facilitation experience, and leadership development to her work.
